Note to Self
Note to Self is a sci-fi short film made for the 48 Hour Film Project in collaboration with DEFT. In this internationally screened film, a man makes a desperate attempt to fix his life by sending a message to his former self. The short won Best Directing, Best Acting, Best Editing, Best Use of Line, Audience Choice, and Runner Up Best Film at the 48 Hour Film Project, won the Award of Achievement at the IMPA Awards in 2018, and was nominated for Best Iowa Made Film at the Snake Alley Festival of Film in 2019.

In this 48 hour film shot entirely on mobile phones, a woman and her father struggle to process their shared grief. It won three awards at the 2019 Kansas City 48 Hour Film Project: 2nd Runner Up Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Editing.

In this grant-winning television drama pilot, a young woman struggles with making a decision to stay and work on her family’s farm or move away to a new life. Shrieking Tree’s role was editing, an area that was recognized with a Best Editing win at the Catalyst Story Institute Film Festival.

In this award-winning 48 hour film, a disgruntled employee compels her friend to help her confront her boss about his past misdeeds. It won Best Director and Best Score. It was also nominated for Best Film, Best Actor (Justin Norman, Ryan Runyan), Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, and Best Use of Line.
